The Bewdley School is a comprehensive 11 to 18 school serving the town of Bewdley and its surroundings. The majority of students come from affluent backgrounds with a lower than national average number attracting Pupil Premium. Despite this, the intake is truly comprehensive and the school caters for all abilities and aptitudes. Student behaviour is good and teachers are able to deliver lessons in a calm and supportive environment.

From a professional development perspective, the school has a growing culture of inquiry-based research and professional learning. Monitoring is low key and approached collaboratively, with an emphasis on developing the professional independence and capability of teachers, as a highly skilled self-supporting professional learning community. Attendance & Office Administrator

Scale 3 – 37 hours per week
£20,642 – Term Time Only (Plus TED Days)

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Attendance & Office Administrator to join our existing administration & pastoral team.

Attendance is an essential aspect of a successful community and academic success. This post makes an important contribution to raising achievement by both improving school attendance and promoting inclusion by working in partnership with families, external agencies, academia, and the wider community. The post is crucial in supporting improvements in attendance at an individual, year group, and whole school level.

The successful post holder will be responsible for implementing the school’s day to day attendance procedures and children missing in education protocols, assisting in improving attendance and will work closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team and Year Group Leaders to ensure that attendance is monitored effectively, promoted and for students whose attendance is a barrier to learning. By providing support with communication via phone, email and letters to students and families who require support with their attendance.

Roles include:

  • Entry of daily attendance marks
  • Absence monitoring and calls
  • Supporting in overall whole school attendance strategy]
  • General Administration duties
