Thanks to our excellent Site Team who have worked tirelessly today, school will be open for our Critical Worker and Vulnerable children tomorrow, Tuesday 26 January. As access from some estate roads is still challenging we are making changes to some scheduled activities:

  • HPV vaccinations for year 10 girls are moved from tomorrow (Tuesday 26 January) to Thursday 11 February 2021, which was the next available NHS slot.
  • Our COVID-19 LFD testing which was scheduled for Monday 25 January is moved to Wednesday 27 January. Testing on Friday 29 January will go ahead as scheduled.
  • The collection of Free School Meal hampers will still go ahead as scheduled tomorrow and parent/carers should follow the information previously shared with them.
  • Due to flooding, the student entrance by the leisure will remained CLOSED while we carry out assessments to ensure it is safe following the floods. Students should enter the school site via the main vehicle entrance.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone, that there will be no Live Lessons tomorrow Tuesday 26 January. Students should use this time to ‘catch up’ on any outstanding work and to complete any tasks set on SMHW (Satchel One) or Microsoft Teams.

We would also like to remind parents/carers that even though students are not currently attending school, any positive cases of COVID-19 must be reported to the school. If your child has had a confirmed case of COVID-19 please email office@bewdley.worcs.sch.uk with the child’s name and the date they had the confirmation of a positive result. This information can then be passed to the local authority and enables us to support families and get a better understanding of the current cases of COVID-19 within our community.

Thank you for your continued support in these challenging times and please do stay safe.
