Change to the School Day

Formal Notification of Governing Body Decision

I write to inform you that further to our notification of intention to change the school day on 23rd February 2026 and consultation meeting of Wednesday 18th March, The Bewdley School governing body formally approved the change the school day structure in September 2026 at their meeting of Wednesday 10th June 2026.

The planned change to the school day is to increase lunchtime from 35 to 50 minutes, involving a 5 minute earlier start to the school day, and a 10 minute later finish:

This change will take effect on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
