We have today received notification that the yellow heat health alert has been upgraded to amber: https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/weather-health-alerts/heat/west-midlands
Over the last 2 days some of our classrooms have reached temperatures in the high 30s in the afternoons.
As such, to protect everyone from these extremes of temperature, we will be moving to our compressed day arrangement on Friday 10th July.
Our school day will therefore be based around 35 minute lessons with all but essential elements removed:
8.00 – Onwards – well-being check on entry through reception
8.50 – Lesson 1
9.25 – Lesson 2
10.00 – Breakfast for all
10.20 – Lesson 3
10.55- Lesson 4
11.30 – Brunch for all
11.50 – Lesson 5
12.25 – Lesson 6
13.00- END
We appreciate that this early finish tomorrow may create some challenges for families, so for students who cannot be collected we can host for the afternoon in our air conditioned gym.
Our school transport providers have confirmed the following services will be available to support students in getting home during the early closure. Students who are catching the 1.30 bus should all wait in the Gym until transport arrives.
BD03 (Whittles) – 1.30pm collection from school
291 (Yarrantons) – 1.30pm collection from school
S15 Diamond – Students to go into Bewdley Town to get 296 Service to Stourport
S292 -Students to go into Bewdley Town to get 292 Service to Kidderminster
