ADMISSIONS
To find out if your home address is within catchment for The Bewdley School, please use the ‘search by post code’ function on the Worcestershire County Council page here.
The Bewdley School is a Foundation School. Applications for school places for Year 7 must be made online here by the published deadline. The normal Pupil Admission Number (PAN) for the school is 180 in a given year group, though this sometimes increases with demand when numbers in the area are large. The school holds an Open Evening in September each year for the benefit of students making the transition from Primary School.
The procedure for in-year admissions can be found here.
Parents and carers who are considering an in-year admission may wish to arrange a visit to the school. Please phone and ask to speak to Lynne Oliver, PA to the Head Teacher, or email LOL@bewdley.worcs.sch.uk. Prospective students are given the opportunity to tour the school with their parents or carers and meet the Pastoral team.
For waiting list requests, please contact LOL@bewdley.worcs.sch.uk. The waiting list is ranked in accordance with our admissions criteria. Once a child has been placed on the list, it becomes the responsibility of the parent or carer to re-express their interest at the beginning of each term.
The school’s admissions policy and arrangements can be found on our statutory policy page: https://www.bewdley.worcs.sch.uk/statutory-policies/
Information on the appeals process, can be found here.
