Congratulations to all the InterAct students who presented their Read4Uganda charity project to The Bewdley Rotary Club on November 8th. The students have raised £480 so far for their charity and aim to raise £1000 before Christmas. They aim to purchase reading books for all the pupils at Cornerstone Nursery & Primary School in Kittiti, Uganda. The highlight of their presentation was a short film, where a range of students discussed why reading was so important to child development in Early Years education. The Director of PlantinghopeforUganda praised the students for their fantastic hard-work and for their focus on the needs of others.

During the event, each student received an official Rotary badge with Megan and Isobel received their special President and Secretary badges. Staff from The Bewdley School also presented projects on global happiness.

Students will be launching their Readathon this month, and hope that every student in KS3 will participate.
