Today Mr Birmingham and Mr Whordley took 13 Year 10 Ambassadors to the Worcester Foodbank to donate The Bewdley School’s contributions. For the past 2 weeks students, staff and the community have been donating food, gifts and supplies.

We are thrilled to announce we donated nearly 1300 items to the Food Bank!

Baldwin – 258 items
Severn – 229 items
Ribbesford – 243 items
Bewdley Sixth Form – 228 items
Staff – 329 items

Mr Birmingham who organised the event said ‘The response from the Bewdley community has been overwhelming. These donations will make all the difference to families who are struggling over Christmas.’

While at the Food Bank the Year 10 Ambassadors were able to take a tour of the facilities. Students were shocked at the scale of the operation and all the work that takes place behind the scenes.

It is heartening to see the focus many of our students have on thinking of those less fortunate. This encompasses our values at Bewdley of being considerate, caring and compassionate that are central to our ethos as a school.
