As another year draws to a close, this year more than most has seen extensive work put in to developing our schools network and communication systems. Over the year the school has seen a brand new network installed and a huge refresh of computers throughout. A lot of this work would not of been possible without the support of local company Roxel. Roxel has supported The Bewdley School over the past year by donating over 80 computers and monitors, which have been used to replace aging technology throughout the school. These include replacing the Library, a CAD Suite and a number of classrooms and offices. Network Manager Mr Whordley said ‘Roxel have been a fantastic support to The Bewdley School over the past year, funding in schools continues to be a challenging landscape. And without the generosity of companies like Roxel we would not of been able to provide students with the technology and opportunities they now have today.’

Along with the launch of the new network we have also developed our communication with parents, Our Schools App Launched in May, our new website in September, the new texting and absence platform in October, The Bewdley School TV Channel in November and most recently YouTube in December. A lot of work has also gone in to improving Facebook and Twitter communications which we hope parents are finding useful. 2018 has been a very busy year, but we plan to continue to develop and introduce more improvements in 2019.
