Next Friday (Friday 28 June) will be a non-uniform day with all proceeds raised going to the William Mills Foundation. Many members of the school community will remember William Mills, who was a former student of The Bewdley School who sadly passed away last year. To celebrate Williams life, William’s family setup the William Mills Foundation which helps support young people to reach their goals.

The William Mills Foundation over the last 12 months has supported numerous students at The Bewdley School, enabling them to take part in events and activities which have enriched their lives and development. Without the support of The William Mills Foundation a lot of the events and activities would never take place. To help support and celebrate William’s life, students will be asked to donate £1 for coming in non-school uniform on Friday.

Students are also able to apply for a William Mills Foundation award to support them as appropriate. For details of the criteria for an award, please see https://thewilliammillsfoundation.org/our-work/the-future-step-award or contact Mr Willis (pwi@bewdley.worcs.sch.uk).

To observe the anniversary of Will’s death the Foundation are holding a ‘Football Funday’ on Saturday 22 June at Callow Hill Far Forest Pavilion, the event starts at 11am and includes a five-a-side competition, BBQ, live music and much much more.
