We are delighted to announce that The Bewdley School has been nominated to host a British Council Connecting Classroom Conference during the Autumn term 2019.
The theme of the International Conference is Global Happiness and particularly the Health and Well-being of young people. The visiting delegates will be coming from a wide range of different countries with rich and diverse backgrounds.

We hope that this will be an exciting opportunity for our students to experience different cultures and that the conference will build a unique and fascinating global news story.

During the three-day conference, some of our students will be working alongside visiting students from Egypt, South Korea, India, Uganda, Jordan and Palestine to explore the theme of Global Happiness through art, sport, film, and music. During the evening, the visiting students will also meet a wide variety of community groups and visit local museums and places of interest.

As part of the planning for the conference, we will be raising money to fund places at the conference for some of the disadvantaged children from Uganda, Palestine and Jordan.

The InterAct Group will be running a Charity Concert and raffle and other fun events. If parents/carers would like to support us in this, and donate towards the costs of flights and accommodation for these students, Please follow the link below to our crowdfunding page.
