As you are all aware, we currently have a year group at home self-isolating and the national restrictions are continually being updated, with infection rates rising. Against this background we have some updates regarding school events and procedures:

  • Our Year 11 Prom which could not take place in the summer, and so was scheduled later this term, is sadly cancelled. Parents/carers of those students effected should complete this form to request a refund
  • There is still a lack of clarity nationally regarding assessment expectations for next summer, alongside this we are currently revising our internal assessment plans for this year.  As this information is finalised we will share with the relevant year groups.
  • Given the incidence of COVID-19 transmission in our community, we will be taking all parents consultations online or via phone-calls, and will not be holding any parents evenings in school for the foreseeable future. We will be in contact early next half-term to explain how this will work.

We cannot begin to tell you how much we regret having to make these decisions, but please be assured that we will continue to do all that we can to keep our educational offer as ‘normal’ as it can be under these extraordinary conditions.
