Following a thorough site inspection, we can confirm the school is open today, Wednesday 26 February 2020.

If your child would normally walk this route, and you are not able to collect/drop them to school, you may wish to consider keeping them at home to work on school work. If you decide to keep your child(ren) at home it is essential that you inform the school via the absence line on 01299 406 828 or absence@bewdley.worcs.sch.uk We can confirm that your child’s attendance will not be affected if you decide to keep them at home.

The shuttle service arranged by Worcestershire County Council on behalf of Wyre Forest District Council, will be running again today. The service will be making regular round trips to ensure it can collect as many students as possible. Please bear in mind that all timings are indicative due to the vast number of road closures in place that have led to increased levels of congestion in and around town – this may result in your child waiting longer than expected.  A 78 seater and a 53 seater bus will be operational this afternoon and tomorrow. The service is planned to collect at 08:00am on Load Street, 08:15am from the Hop Pole and then to school via the A456 tomorrow.  The school will keep registration open until late morning to accommodate for the disruption.

The service this afternoon will collect students from site at 3.20pm, dropping at The Hop Pole,  onto Load Street, providing a loop service coming back to school for any students who were unable to get on the either of the first two coaches.

The situation will be monitored closely over the coming days and parents will continue to be informed via social media and e-mail.

We will keep you updated with any further developments and please encourage your child(ren) to stay safe during this period. In the meantime you can monitor the situation yourself via:
